Anthony Hargrove is a West Side native, CPS parent, community leader, and candidate for Chicago Board of Education District 5B. He has served Chicago Public Schools for more than 20 years as a culinary instructor, dean, operations manager, compliance specialist, and associate director. His campaign is focused on access, accountability, and pathways for every student.
Anthony Hargrove was born and raised on Chicago's West Side, where serving young people has become the work of his life. During more than 20 years with Chicago Public Schools, he has served as a culinary instructor, dean, operations manager, compliance specialist, and associate director. Today, he leads programs that help reconnect young people to school and prepare them for success beyond the classroom. Anthony has worked alongside students, parents, educators, and principals, giving him direct experience with the choices that shape school safety, student support, facilities, budgets, and opportunities after graduation. He is running for Chicago Board of Education District 5B to make sure every student has access to a quality education, every parent has a voice, and every school has the support it needs to succeed.
